SOS Children’s Villages is a non-governmental social development organization that works in 138 countries and territories to find the most appropriate response to the situation of children without parental care and those at risk of losing parental care. SOS Children’s Villages has been active in Nigeria since 1973, with a presence across the country in Lagos, Ogun, Plateau, Oyo, Kaduna, Borno and Edo states and the Federal Capital Territory with expansions to other states.
When children can no longer live with their families, we work with communities and partners to provide them with loving and supportive alternative care. SOS Children’s Villages in Nigeria provides care and protection for children without or at risk of losing parental care and young people. We work with children, young people, families, communities, and states to prevent family breakdown and ensure that children and youth rights are met.
